UsedAutomations — TESTED SURPLUS & OBSOLETE CONTROLS

Order terms

Returns and refunds

This policy explains when returns, replacements, or refunds may apply to parts sourced through UsedAutomations. It works together with our Warranty / DOA and Shipping & Payment pages.

1. Quote-based sales

UsedAutomations sells through written quotes, not a shopping cart checkout. Availability, condition, price, lead time, shipping method, payment terms, and any return or DOA window are confirmed on the quote before you pay.

If the quote and this policy differ, the quote controls for that order.

2. General return rule

Used, surplus, refurbished, and obsolete industrial parts are sold on an as-is / as-described basis unless the quote states otherwise.

We do not offer open-ended change-of-mind returns. Returns are limited to the cases below and only with written return authorization (RMA) before shipment back to us or our supplier.

3. Dead on arrival (DOA)

For units described as tested or function-checked on the quote, we typically offer a 7-day DOA remedy (replacement, credit, or refund) after delivery unless the quote states a different window.

Notify us promptly with photos or video, the delivery date, and the failure symptom. Do not install, modify, or attempt repair before we approve the claim.

Full DOA terms and exclusions are on our Warranty / DOA page.

4. Wrong item or quantity shipped by us

If we ship the wrong model, wrong condition grade, or materially incorrect quantity compared with the paid quote, we will arrange correction, replacement, or refund as agreed in writing.

Report the issue within 7 calendar days of delivery with packing photos and label photos so we can trace the shipment.

5. Buyer-side errors

Orders confirmed against the buyer's stated model number, condition requirement, or voltage/specification are generally not returnable because the buyer selected the wrong part, ordered the wrong quantity, or changed project requirements after payment.

If you are unsure about compatibility, ask before payment. We can help with nameplate photos, BOM review, or substitute options on the quote.

6. Non-returnable items

Unless explicitly stated on the quote, the following are usually non-returnable: parts sold for repair, evaluation, or scrap; custom-sourced or special-order lines; items marked non-cancellable after supplier allocation; and products where seals, firmware, or traceability were broken after delivery.

7. Return process

Email sales@usedautomations.com with your quote reference, invoice details, delivery date, and clear evidence of the issue. We will confirm whether the case qualifies and, if approved, provide return instructions and the RMA reference.

Unauthorized returns may be refused. Return shipping, customs, and re-stocking costs are borne by the party responsible for the return reason unless the quote says otherwise.

Refunds, when approved, are issued to the original payment method or by agreed bank transfer after the returned goods are received and inspected.

8. Cancellations before shipment

You may cancel before we or our supplier allocate and ship the goods. Once a supplier commits stock or the order enters export processing, cancellation may not be possible or may incur supplier fees stated on the quote.

9. Import duties and shipping charges

Import duties, taxes, brokerage, and original outbound shipping are generally non-refundable unless the return is due to our shipping or catalog error and the quote says otherwise.
